The Terriquez Wedding | La Quinta Wedding Photographer
I have seriously fallen behind on my blog posts. It wasn't until I was 10 weddings deep that I realized I needed to update my site with some of the greatest moments of this fall season. Yvette and Miguel's was the first wedding to happen since my vacation in September. I had met with Yvette to put the finishing touches on their wedding day timeline 2 days before my trip. She had been to same place as I have- fly into Cancun, take the ferry across the Caribbean Sea and live on a tiny island called Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Talking with Yvette about it just made me more excited that we could reminisce together on the adventures of being somewhere far away (not really that far), but knowing someone locally. There's just that connection. Vacation couldn't have came at a better time because I was refreshed and ready to tackle an exciting wedding day all re-energized. Yvette and Miguel had their wedding at St. Francis of Assisi in La Quinta. This church is so dreamy and dramatic!! Nice white walls, for photographers...that's the best scenario! After the ceremony, they drove away in their classic Chevrolet car. I like to call it Lemonade. Haha The story behind this car is that all the other siblings in their family had a classic car in their weddings too. So it was only expected that this car would make a cameo appearance, which in turn gave me some of my most favorite photographs ever. They rode over to The Lake Country Club in Palm Desert for their wedding reception. Now for being October, we expected it to be hot and windy. Palm Springs has a very obvious transition period from season to season. But there was something special about this wedding day. It was perfectly 85 degrees, no wind, and a nothing but good times ahead!
